ACC falls apart

ACC falls apart!!

When you develop a persistent problem i.e. persistent pain or stuff like that. this is where the money is wasted. ACC refuses to accept some problems can't be fixed and start what is termed "cure shopping" when a claimant acts this way. it means that they won't accept they have to make lifestyle changes to enable them and want a fix for something that can't be fixed.

ACC's Form of cure shopping is sending clients to inappropriately qualified Specialists i.e. in my case they sent me to an occupational specialist professor ???. Who was convinced the pain I was experiencing was all in my head (not his terminology) he believed I had developed "fibromyalgia".

When in fact Had they sent me to an Orthopaedic spinal specialist as I had requested. He/she would have diagnosed an error in surgery that could have been fixed at the time.

This is where ACC tentatively "caused a further harm injury" and it is where NZ's ACC legislation really sux's (for want of a better discription). because accidental injury is covered by ACC. You can't sue ACC for causing your further harm injuy and you are at their mercy as of course they won't accept they are actually at fault.

"It is a bit like puting an abused child back in the hands of the abuser" and their is nothing they can do because of this state of the Art legislation.

ACC Does work for Some

Hello everyone

Just thought I had better give a good comment so that I don't appear to have a "negative bone to pick" When I first had my injury ACC was really good. They helped out and between them and my employer I had surgery on my back and was back to full time duties. This was a great experience and I think possibly most people or (I'd like to think so) get the same sort of treatment.

Therefore ACC is not all doom and gloom they can get it right (then again like all Government agencies it could have been I had been assigned a good case manager). As we all know some times you get one that really knows there Job.

ACC of course our providers are impartial

ACC of course our providers/medical specialists are impartial!!

"We give them an instruction booklet" on how we like it done:)

ACC has More Power than Employers

ACC Case Managers have more power than employers.

Yes it is true if you don't do as an employer asks he/she has to give you a warning, writen warning and final warning. If an ACC case manager asks you to do something and you say no they can just stop your entitlements.

Their favorite statement is "I'll stop your weekly compensation payment" Oh how great it is to have Power over an impaired victim Very brave!! don't worry the NZ Government endorses this practice so its got to be good.

Kick'em when their down!!

ACC's disputes resolution service

While on the subject of the Dispute's Resolution Service:

Another great comment same reviewer:
while tapping my file states "I know your attitude" hang on she has read documents and met me for all of 15 minutes and declares' I have an attitude this from the impartial referee in a disputes case.

DRSL. non bias and impartial I don't think so (yes there is an independent witness to this statement)

Do you have similar comment's made by "ACC Dispute Resolution Reviewers" post them here. We can create the Disputes Resolution Service "blooper Book" and maybe give a prize for the weeks best!

Reviewer Contradictions

Here is a good one!!

Dispute resolution reviewer: I agree with you ACC has done nothing to rehabilitate you for the last three years. However I don't see why you should get 3 years worth of rehabilitation now. ACC's decision not to pay is up held.

This really happened I will scan the decision document if someone want's it.

Remember ACC levy payers you pay for this and as I previously stated the appeal lawyers get richer. She totally ignored the fact ACC is legislated to provide rehabilitation to an optimal level of independence. But hang on ACC were paying her wage indirectly of course.

"Don't bite the hand that feeds you" in your decision making springs to mind.

ACC Fraud

Just a thought :) for the day

One must envy the ACC fraudster, they must have ball's of steel and excellent endurance qualities or maybe they have inside help and split the profit's.

It is difficult enough for legitimate claimants to make claims. In fact many give up and suffer in silence because of the bureaucratic B___s__t that they have to go through.

As it appears you get your entitlements till you get caught!! how do you do it? do you have a contact on the inside?

Not that I condone ACC fraud. I'm intrigued as to why you would go through this hassle if you didn't need to
