ACC falls apart

ACC falls apart!!

When you develop a persistent problem i.e. persistent pain or stuff like that. this is where the money is wasted. ACC refuses to accept some problems can't be fixed and start what is termed "cure shopping" when a claimant acts this way. it means that they won't accept they have to make lifestyle changes to enable them and want a fix for something that can't be fixed.

ACC's Form of cure shopping is sending clients to inappropriately qualified Specialists i.e. in my case they sent me to an occupational specialist professor ???. Who was convinced the pain I was experiencing was all in my head (not his terminology) he believed I had developed "fibromyalgia".

When in fact Had they sent me to an Orthopaedic spinal specialist as I had requested. He/she would have diagnosed an error in surgery that could have been fixed at the time.

This is where ACC tentatively "caused a further harm injury" and it is where NZ's ACC legislation really sux's (for want of a better discription). because accidental injury is covered by ACC. You can't sue ACC for causing your further harm injuy and you are at their mercy as of course they won't accept they are actually at fault.

"It is a bit like puting an abused child back in the hands of the abuser" and their is nothing they can do because of this state of the Art legislation.
